[ Welcome ]

Hi, I'm Donna. Professional, but always human.

For over a decade I've sat alongside people in some of the hardest moments of their lives — grief, anxiety, relationships under strain, the quiet sense that something isn't right.

My room in Portstewart is warm and unhurried. There's always tea, and there's never any judgement. If travelling isn't possible, we can meet by video or telephone.

I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is to listen carefully, ask gentle questions, and help you find a way forward that feels like yours.

If you've found your way here…

I know how hard it can be to take that first step. Perhaps you've been thinking about it for a while, or something has happened that has made it harder to carry.

Whatever has brought you here, you are welcome.

You don't have to have the right words. We can start from where you are.

[ The four ways I can help ]

Whatever brought you here, it matters.

Individual Counselling

[ 01 ]

Individual Counselling

A steady place to set things down.

Anxiety, stress, low mood, loss, or simply a sense of feeling stuck. Whatever has brought you here, it matters, and there is room for all of it.

Together we'll make sense of what you're carrying, at a pace that feels manageable. You don't need to arrive with a plan.

Couples Therapy

[ 02 ]

Couples Therapy

For partners who need to hear each other again.

When communication has frayed, small moments can turn into the same old argument. Couples work offers a calm, neutral space where both voices carry weight.

I won't take sides. My role is to help you slow down, notice what is really being said, and find your way back towards each other — or towards clarity.

Menopause Support

Navigating a change no one fully prepared you for.

Perimenopause and menopause can unsettle sleep, mood, confidence and identity. Many women tell me they simply don't feel like themselves anymore.

As a Certified Menopause Coach, I combine counselling with practical understanding, so you feel informed, heard and far less alone with it.

Counselling for Young People

Counselling for Young People

Someone independent who simply listens.

For young people aged 12 and over, it can be a relief to talk to someone who isn't a parent, teacher or friend. Someone who won't judge.

Sessions are gentle and relaxed. We might talk about school, friendships, family, exam pressure, or feelings that are hard to name.

[ Donna's story ]

I grew up by this same stretch of sea.

Before counselling, I spent years in roles that taught me how much people carry quietly. Training as a therapist felt less like a career change than a coming home.

Today I work with individuals, couples, young people and women navigating menopause — always with the same belief: slow is okay.
